He is what one might call "hyper-creative". A jack-of-all-trades from an early age, he is passionate about science, but also about all realms of the imagination.
For many years, an acoustic guitar stood proudly in his bedroom, gathering nothing but dust and desolation. It was not until the age of 17 that he picked it up to... impress a girl. The girl left, but his love for the guitar stayed (and how!).

He quickly moved on to the electric guitar. With no formal music theory training, he plays strictly by ear and instinct, reading tabs only for the most intricate pieces. For him, music is channeled through the hands, the ear, and the heart. A hard rocker at his core, he is a devotee of many styles: eclectic mix, classical, rock and hard rock from every decade (with a burning passion for the '80s and '90s), heavy and power metal—especially Rhapsody.

A computer engineer by trade (holding an Electrical Engineering degree and a Master’s in Computer Science), he is also an author, model maker, musician, cook and bon vivant, cyclist, archer, master of the hammer, the saw, and the drill—and that’s just the beginning. He revels in exploring new horizons and crafting anything he can with what he has (including modding his own guitars).

In 2017, he embarked on a brand-new quest: writing. He published an epic fantasy novel series: Kyan Rogh, Isielle and Olkan, The Draconic Heirs. He launched his own publishing house, Archancourt, with little mainstream success. No matter—it was an unforgettable journey that unleashed him in so many ways. One door closes, another opens wide.

Beneath his serious, seemingly dull exterior lies a true wild spirit who appears to take nothing seriously, and yet…

Note: Why the moniker "Richard"?
It happened exclusively during musical encounters (jam sessions, auditions, etc.). Every single time, people misheard his name and called him "Richard" instead of "Charles". Fate had spoken, it could be no other way: his stage name would be Richard. As for "Shreddauthor", that part speaks for itself.
